Forest Stream in School Grounds

Project Shot Project Page

Whitefield School, in Nelson, have a fantastic Forest School programme and really wanted to enhance the opportunities this brings by creating a forest stream.

Utilizing a grassy bank we created a bubbling waterfall with splash pools and a recirculating pump. It even has a foot operated pedal that tops up a mains supply of water through a pipe inserted into the boulder (yes we did drill a hole right through!)

Glacial boulders were used so as to provide a smooth surface, the large ones were concreted in place and glacial river pebbles were added as loose dam building material.

All you need are waterproof overalls and wellies, old T shirts and the fun begins!

We specialize in the bespoke solutions and though our in house design knowledge and construction skills we are ideally placed to bring ideas to life.
